I recently bought a second hand car and the mechanics Caringbah gave me the most excellent advice. I was not buying the car from them (that is not their business) but I was nervous about my choice and they helped me make my decision. They helped me think about which make of car I wanted, and what was a decent mileage for the price I was looking at, and then, once I had narrowed down my search, they checked the cars out for me. I was really lucky that my mechanic did not charge me for this, but we have a long-standing relationship. He also knew that once I had bought my car, which was second-hand, he would then be my mechanic. It was in his interests to help me, knowing it was a mutually-beneficial relationship.
