A good car mechanic will give you indispensable advice
I recently bought a second hand car and the mechanics
Caringbah gave me the most excellent advice. I was not buying the car from
them (that is not their business) but I was nervous about my choice and they
helped me make my decision. They helped me think about which make of car I
wanted, and what was a decent mileage for the price I was looking at, and then,
once I had narrowed down my search, they checked the cars out for me. I was
really lucky that my mechanic did not charge me for this, but we have a long-standing
relationship. He also knew that once I had bought my car, which was second-hand,
he would then be my mechanic. It was in his interests to help me, knowing it
was a mutually-beneficial relationship. I am so happy with the car I bought and
I have not needed the service of my mechanic, yet!
A good car mechanic is worth their weight in gold
I think that the relationship we have with our car
mechanics is really important. A new car usually comes with a service plan
or warranty, but even then, car mechanics play an invaluable role. A puncture,
a flat battery, worn tyres, an accident, a lock that is not working, electrics
gone wrong … a mechanic can get you out of a bind quickly.
If you do not have a local mechanic, find one! Ask
your neighbourhood community group who they recommend, ask your neighbour or
chat to the locals. Everyone has a story about their mechanic and everyone has
their favourite. Now you just have to find your favourite.
A good mechanic is really invaluable. I am so grateful
to mine. I know he always has my back and as far as mechanics Caringbah go,
I could never ask for better.
